DELAVAN - Donna M. “Casey” Kashinski, age 92, of Delavan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Ridgestone Village of Delavan on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
Donna was born in Janesville, WI, on February 19, 1932, the daughter of Dennis H. and Kathryn (Spangler) Casey. Casey attended the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Janesville, WI. After graduation in 1954, she became and worked as a registered nurse from 1954 to 1968, when she made the decision to stay home and raise her son Frank. She married Frank E. Kashinski on April 23, 1955, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Janesville, WI. They had a son, Frank James, in 1960.
Casey also enjoyed volunteering her time at St. Andrews Church, organizing the annual church rummage sale for many years. Casey also enjoyed weekly visits with family and during the holidays. Casey was also a member of the Mercy Alumni Association. She enjoyed many hobbies: sewing, gardening, and cooking. She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Casey remarried in February of 2008 to Bart Walsh.
She is survived by son Frank, husband Bart, her brother Dennis, sister Kathleen, and many family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank in 2004, her daughter-in- law Suzie Kashinski, her sister Pat Johnson, and her brothers Richard and Thomas Casey.
She was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan.
The family would like to thank Crystal and the entire staff at Ridgestone Village of Delavan for the amazing care and love she received. The family would also like to thank St.Croix Hospice for their compassionate care.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Andrews Cemetery in Delavan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
